Kernan V. (“Kip”) Oberting is President & Chief Executive Officer of Sirius International Insurance Group (“Sirius Group”).? Mr. Oberting served as President of Sirius Group since September 2018 and Chief Financial Officer of Sirius Group since April 2016.

Kip has a range of leadership experience in insurance and financial services business.? Kip served in strategic and M&A roles at White Mountains Insurance Group from 1995-2004, and 2012-2016; at Montpelier Re as its Chief Financial Officer from 2004-2008; and as founder of Oakum Bay Capital from 2008-2012.? Across these roles, Kip has led various operational, strategic and M&A initiatives and has been recognized as an early innovator in the establishment of sidecars and alternative capital vehicles supporting insurance and investment risk.

Prior to entering the insurance business, Kip traded equity derivatives at Credit Suisse First Boston (Japan) and was a financial analyst at Stern Stewart & Co.

Kip received a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Dartmouth College.

Gene joined the Sirius Group in 2016 as Executive Vice President, Group General Counsel, responsible for overseeing the Group’s strategic (M&A) initiatives and managing its legal and compliance functions. Prior to joining Sirius Group, Gene served as the Global General Counsel of Cushman & Wakefield, a commercial real estate services firm, where he served on its Executive Committee, Global Management Committee and Co-Chaired its Global Enterprise Risk Management Committee. Prior to joining Cushman and Wakefield in 2011, Gene served as a senior member of the Restructuring and Legal M&A Groups of American International Group, Inc. (AIG) overseeing the legal aspects of AIG’s worldwide acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures and strategic investments in a broad range of insurance and financial services sectors. Prior to joining AIG in 2006, Gene practiced in the Global Corporate Group at Milbank, Tweed, Hadley &McCloy LLP.

Gene is a graduate of Boston University School of Law, and New York University, where he received a B.S. in Finance and International Business from the Leonard N. Stern School on Business.

Monica has been the President & CEO of Sirius International Insurance Corporation the largest reinsurance company in Scandinavia, since March 2014. She has also served as a director of the Board since 2014.?Since September 2018 Monica also serves as Chief Operating Officer of the Sirius International Insurance Group and is a member of the Management Committee. Monica joined Sirius International Insurance Corporation in 1985 and has held several key Underwriting positions throughout her career, including Business Unit Manager/Area Underwriter for Scandinavia, Southern Europe, Latin & Central America, and the Nordic Markets. ?During the period 1989 – 2014 Monica was also Head of the Outwards Reinsurance Department, responsible for all group retrocession purchasing.

With her extensive market knowledge and insight into client needs, Monica has successfully led the company through challenging market conditions by focusing on the maintenance of sustainable, profitable underwriting and strengthening relationships.? She has also been instrumental in identifying and supporting initiatives to develop and strengthen the Sirius brand around the globe.? ?

Monica holds a degree in International Business Administration from the University of Gothenburg, Sweden.? She is fluent in English, Swedish and French.

Ralph Salamone serves as the Chief Financial Officer of Sirius Group. Since joining Sirius in 1997, Ralph has been a key member of the Group’s executive financial team and is instrumental in the strategic planning, evaluation, and execution of Sirius’ global financial reporting and analysis, merger and acquisition activities, capital structuring and tax planning.

Ralph began his career in public accounting at PricewaterhouseCoopers, serving a variety of insurance clients as an audit manager. Prior to joining Sirius, Ralph served as the Assistant Controller at Assurant where he worked in the US consolidation and accounting functions.

Ralph earned his M.B.A in Finance from the New York University Leonard N. Stern School of Business and holds a BS in Business Administration from the SUNY at Buffalo. He is a member of the Society of Insurance Financial Management.

As Sirius Group’s Chief Actuary and Chief Risk Officer, Jeff is responsible for overseeing the Group’s loss reserving and risk management functions including managing the internal economic capital model, managing key exposures and mitigating risk for multiple lines of business and geographic regions in the (re)insurance arena.

Jeff joined the organization in 2008. He spent most of his 25 plus year career in senior actuarial positions at Munich Reinsurance Group and White Mountains Insurance Group, where he gained extensive experience in the pricing and reserving, and portfolio analysis, as well as the management of relationships with external stakeholders.

Jeff holds a B.S. in Mathematics Education from the University of Cincinnati and an M.A. in Liberal Studies from SUNY at Stony Brook. He is a Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society and a Chartered Financial Analyst charterholder.
